Remake reminded me of the original film and The Replacements only with rougher characters

The direction is all over the place, Jeffrey Dean Morgan and Jason Patric are too good for this film

Fun animated Dreamworks comedy with Chris Rock as a very funny zebra and Ben Stiller as a nice lion

Fun animated sequel has some laughs, but the first is still better, the penguins are funny as usual

Funny and involving low-tech heist comedy, its definitely a fantasy but its fast moving and fun

A subdued and excellent Jim Carrey as the subject of 1950's communist witch hunt

I have finally seen this on DVD and even though some moments are painful it is sometimes fun

Entertaining, fun, not for critics comedy-suspense cop film where Tommy Lee Jones learns something about life from the cheerleaders he's protecting

Smart political comedy-drama from Barry Levinson, it's sometimes hilarious and sometimes very tense

Farfetched in places but fun action thriller with great stunt work

Just viewed on DVD, it's a good film but with more adult themes than expected, it should have been rated PG-13

Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World (PG-13)

Spectacular sea battles, excellent acting but has some gory medical procedures and it's a little long

Fun sci-fi comedy, it has a lot of laughs for people who can just sit and have fun instead of analyzing it

Made Ben Stiller a star, DeNiro plays a great twisted character as usual, film has many hilarious moments

Meet the Fockers (PG-13)

Funny and clever continuation of Meet the Parents, Dustin Hoffman is so goofy, but the original is still better

Fun time travel Disney CGI story, once the plot gets going its better, the Disney Digital 3-D was amazing

One of the most original and funny science-fiction comedies ever, with a great team in Jones and Smith

Not as funny as the first, but it has some good moments and for fans a good time if you just relax

Powerful and moving boxing film with 3 great lead performances, has a downer of an ending though

Visually exciting and involving true story about coach Herb Brooks' quest to win a hockey gold medal for U.S.A.

Miss Congeniality (PG-13)

It took me by surprise, it was a lot funnier than I expected, Michael Caine and William Shatner were hilarious

Miss Congeniality 2: Armed and Fabulous (PG-13)

Not as hilarious as the first movie, but still funny for fans of fun comedies and Sandra Bullock

Miss Pettigrew Lives For A Day (PG-13)

Smart, fun 1930's set screwball comedy, Amy Adams & Frances McDormand have great chemistry

Mission: Impossible III (PG-13)

Much better than the second and not as great as the first, but its suspenseful, entertaining and almost doesn't stop

Mission: Impossible Ghost Protocol (PG-13)

It might be the best Mission Impossible yet, fast moving suspenseful film rises to new heights

Mr. 3000 (PG-13)

Good baseball movie where the star learns lessons about a "team", have seen it before but it's still entertaining

Mr. Bean's Holiday (G)

Not as funny as Bean or Johnny English, but its good to see Rowan Atkinson back and it has some laughs

Pixar excellence as usual with great vocals and with a ride of an ending

Fun, fast paced and sometimes very inventive animated sci-fi comedy, even better in Imax 3-D

Morning Glory (PG-13)

Annoying and unlikable characters sink this story about TV morning show anchors

My Life in Ruins (PG-13)

Uninvolving with some unlikable characters, the film is unfunny and has no spark, 1/2 star is for the scenery

National Treasure (PG)

Interesting, clever and fun adventure mixing some actual history with a treasure hunt inspired by Indiana Jones

National Treasure: Book of Secrets (PG)

Almost as clever as the first, its fun, its all-star cast clearly were enjoying themselves, you should too

The New World (PG-13)

They don't make them like this anymore, beautiful, haunting and even at times horrifying telling of the 1607 Jamestown, Virginia settlers and Pocahontas

The Next Three Days (PG-13)

Superior prison break film with unexpected plot twists and almost unbearable suspense in the last 45 minutes

Night At the Museum (PG)

What a Blast! A CGI laugh fest, the most fun I've had at the movies this year, Ben Stiller is very funny

Night At the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian (PG)

A fun sequel, with not as much wonder as the first time, but Ben Stiller and Amy Adams make a good team

Nim's Island (PG)

Its a nice family version of a Romancing the Stone type film, its good for all ages

Ocean’s Eleven (PG-13)

Very entertaining all-star remake with a clever heist and ending

Ocean’s Twelve (PG-13)

Not as good as the first, with a messy plot which has many twists, annoying music, but its still fun for most fans

Ocean’s Thirteen (PG-13)

This time it's just about as good as the first, it has a fun revenge plot and a great idea to be back in Las Vegas

Old Dogs (PG)

Worst film of 2009, only one scene is somewhat funny in the entire film, it is hard to sit through

Out Of Time (PG-13)

Starts slow then gets complex and suspenseful, but  background soundtrack is loud and annoying

P.S. I Love You (PG-13)

Sad but involving story of a young widow moving on with her life, the actors are fine

Paul Blart: Mall Cop (PG)

Kevin James is engaging and fun but it is at times mean spirited for a PG film

The Perfect Score (PG-13)

Somewhat fun story about students trying to steal answers to the SAT test, although one character is very annoying

Peter Pan (PG)

Live-action remake has great visual effects and child actors, and Jason Isaacs makes a great Captain Hook

The Pink Panther (2006) (PG)

He pulled it off: Steve Martin makes a very funny Inspector Clouseau, some scenes were so hilarious I was crying, funniest film I've seen in a long time

The Pink Panther 2 (PG)

O.K., with a couple very funny slapstick scenes, but John Cleese was wasted in a small role

Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl (PG-13)

A lot of action, a good story and great visual effects, but Johnny Depp's goofy character is distracting

Planet 51 (PG)

Animation was alright but the story was not involving and I fell asleep during it, it did pick up at the climax though

Planet of the Apes (2001) (PG-13)

Fast moving, suspenseful and interesting but the ending was confusing and not satisfying

Poseidon (PG-13)

Fast moving and suspenseful remake that doesn't take as much time as the original to get to the disaster thrills

The Prestige (PG-13)

Very interesting puzzle of a film with good performances, but it ultimately is a mean-spirited revenge tale

The Princess Diaries (G)

Cute Cinderella update, but Julie Andrews is great

The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement (G)

Logical continuation of the first, I liked this one a little better, it's a good family film

The Princess and the Frog (G)

First few scenes were alright, but the songs were not memorable and the story was too eerie and not for kids, it should have been rated PG, very disappointing

Quantum of Solace (PG-13)

Intense and action packed James Bond adventure that continues the story from Casino Royale, Daniel Craig again is fine as Bond

Race To Witch Mountain (PG)

O.K., sometimes fun Disney remake, but after awhile it lost my attention

Radio (PG)

True story of a slow young man who inspires a town, film is sad in parts but on the whole it's uplifting

Raiders of the Lost Ark (PG-13)

My favorite film of all time, Harrison Ford is great as Indy, has some of the best chases in film history

Rat Race (PG-13)

Funny but not hilarious treasure hunt, although Rowan Atkinson is great

Ratatouille (G)

Very funny, entertaining and fast paced Pixar film, another triumph from Brad Bird

Ray (PG-13)

Amazing performance from Jamie Foxx, he is Ray Charles warts and all, a great film with great music

Rear Window (PG)

Bleak view of the future but has much action and suspense and the dragons are great

Blue Sky Studios is doing very good work, the film has so much to see, is fast paced and has many famous voices

The Rocketeer (PG)

Fun Disney comic-book movie, it dives you the feeling that you are in the '40's, Timothy Dalton is a great villain

Rocky Balboa (PG)

Nostalgic, uplifting and rousing fitting final chapter to the Rocky Balboa saga, it's touching and funny too

Rollerball (2002) (PG-13)

One of the worst remakes ever, almost unwatchable, the original is so much better

The Rookie (G)

Old-fashioned Disney movie like they used to make, great baseball story, uplifting

Runaway Jury (PG-13)

A must see if you are a fan of John Grisham thrillers, it's  involving and suspenseful, stays fairly close to the novel

The Rundown (PG-13)

Annoying quick-cutting and unlikable characters, but the Rock is a better actor than other action stars

Rush Hour (PG-13)

Fast moving and fun mix of martial arts and cop-comedy

Rush Hour 2 (PG-13)

Most fun at the movies all summer, fast moving and  funnier than the original

Rush Hour 3 (PG-13)

Just as much fun as the first two, with an exciting climax at the Eiffel Tower

Sahara (PG-13)

Fun, old-fashioned adventure that studios don't make anymore, Steve Zahn was funny but tougher than before
